ROLE SUMMARY:

A Data Analyst at FTSE Russell is responsible for the end-to-end quality and integrity of vendor financial data feeds, designing and improving validation frameworks while collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to resolve data issues. The role bridges data analysis and index research profiling large-scale datasets, building BI dashboards and reports, and translating complex findings into clear insights that support global index construction and methodology. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in data analytics, strong SQL/Python skills, and the ability to lead concurrent workstreams while acting as the primary SME for data ingestion, quality rules, and analytical tooling.
 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Delivering work activities set by senior colleagues within the product community

• Providing analytical support to the product group and offering task-specific support (e.g. drafting specifications) when required

• Providing and presenting insights into the latest industry trends

• Reviewing the implementation of enhancements to existing products and services under supervision

• Developing detailed functional specifications based on business requirements to support the delivery of a proposition, product, or service

• Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the on-time, in-scope delivery of one or more components of a proposition, product, or service

• Applying standards, processes, and policies, and participating in testing and validation activities

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• A growing specialisation and developing expertise in a product area and the management of products

• Support across all phases of the product lifecycle, following relevant lean, agile, and ways-of-working methodologies

• Contributions to product knowledge-sharing activities (e.g. training guides) to promote adoption and understanding of product functionality both internally and externally

• Support to Product Managers in incorporating product requirements into the product roadmap by evaluating and analysing product source data, classifying source materials, and identifying appropriate changes to coverage and business rules to ensure they reflect up-to-date practices
