We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Insight & Reporting function, to transform how we use data through the delivery of data science projects that add real value and have a material impact on the organisation.

You will work cross‑functionally alongside multiple departments, and your models will surface directly in BI dashboards and operational workflows. You will work closely alongside senior stakeholders to shape the AI and predictive analytics roadmap, and to ensure your outputs are built on solid data foundations.

As a Data Scientist you will have a deep understanding of the data landscape and be committed to developing skills and knowledge in this space, you will be collaborative in your approach, able to present complex modelling outputs to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, compelling, and commercially framed way.

  • Oversee the full model lifecycle, from problem framing and feature engineering through to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Evaluate and apply generative AI capabilities to business problems.
  • Work alongside senior stakeholders to identify and prioritise AI use cases that provide genuine organisational value.
  • Ensure predictions and recommendations generated within BI dashboards are both clear and accessible to non-technical users.
  • Work closely in tandem with the BI Team to ensure that model outputs integrate seamlessly with the relevant systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design visualisations of complex statistical outputs.
  • Ensure the right data is available to support modelling work.
  • Design and build feature stores or reusable feature pipelines in collaboration with other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all code is well documented, clean and reproducible.
  • Communicate complex modelling outputs to non-technical stakeholders in a clear manner, and champion data science across the wider business to build understanding and confidence in what it can achieve.

  • Demonstrable experience in Python (primary) - pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, PyTorch / TensorFlow , Microsoft Fabric / Azure Synapse - data access, feature engineering, and lakehouse integration
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with generative AI, LLMs, or OpenAI in a commercial context.
  • Previous experience with Power BI and BI platforms in general is essential
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline - Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent
