The Fraud Data Analyst role will provide internal performance reporting capabilities within the team. The analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining performance dashboards and reports that provide insights into key metrics like fraud losses, detection rates, and investigation times.

About the Role
- Develop and maintain fraud reporting dashboards and KPIs to track key performance indicators like fraud detection rates, investigation times, fraud losses, and other relevant metrics.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for management and stakeholders, providing insights into fraud trends, performance against targets, and the effectiveness of fraud prevention and detection controls.
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing fraud detection and prevention controls, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new fraud detection and prevention strategies based on data analysis and industry best practices.
- Work closely with other members of the fraud team, including fraud and ethics investigators to share information, coordinate efforts, and support investigations.
- Collaborate with IT and data management teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
- Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
About You
Skills:
- Reporting β able to analyse complex data sets and translate into an engaging and user-friendly reports, engaging data visualizations, dashboards and presentations.
- Strategic Thinking - able to overlay reporting with commentary and recommendations, including proposed next steps for action.
- Stakeholder Management β able to manage and engage a broad range of stakeholders effectively.
- Communicating and Influencing β able to present data verbally and in person and tell compelling stories based on data analysis and insights.
- Data Analysis & Management β able to use Data quality/assurance techniques, processes and analysis.
Knowledge:
- Software knowledge
- PowerBI or equivalent for data analysis and visualization
- Microsoft Office suites
- Understanding of data analysis techniques and statistical concepts,
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchase ledger systems
Type of experience:
- Experience of data management, data reporting and data quality & assurance experience throughout a project lifecycle.
- Experience of working with open formats to enable data interoperability and encourage a software agnostic approach.
- Experience of working within set standards, processes and systems but with an expectation to contribute to decision making on process improvement.
