The Drinking Water Quality Regulator for Scotland is the independent regulator of drinking water quality, regulating Scottish Water and having oversight of local authorities with regard to their drinking water quality remit.Â

The team is responsible for independently assuring that Scotland's drinking water continues to be of the highest standard. To do this we gather and analyse a large amount of analytical, asset and spatial data. As the Drinking Water Quality Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of all DWQR’s data and information systems, preparation of reports to support the Regulator’s function, monitoring of Scottish Water’s compliance with the Network and Information Systems (NIS) Regulations, and liaising with external stakeholders regarding data provision.Â
Management and maintenance of the DWQR Data Management System, Private Water Supply Risk Assessment tool and DWQR website, including liaison with service providers
Management, analysis and presentation of drinking water quality data using PowerBI and other means to support the DWQR’s regulatory activity, ensuring quality control of datasets
Review, monitoring and reporting on the Network and Information Systems Compliance Assessment Framework submission and Improvements Plans from Scottish WaterÂ
Liaison with Scottish Water and Local Authorities regarding data provision requirements
Fulfilment of requests for drinking water data and information from policymakers, consumers and other stakeholders.Â
