What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the development and maintenance of data pipelines and data integrations
- Assisting with extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL/ELT) data from multiple sources
- Helping ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across systems
- Working closely with analytics, engineering, and business teams to understand data requirements
- Supporting data modelling and preparation for reporting and analysis use cases
- Assisting with monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving data workflows
- Contributing to documentation, automation, and continuous improvement of data engineering practices
Tools & Techniques You May Work With
Data Engineering & Storage:
- Relational databases, data warehouses, and cloud storage solutions
Data Pipelines & Processing:
- SQL, Python (or similar), ETL/ELT concepts, scheduling tools
Cloud & Platforms (exposure, not expertise):
- AWS, Azure, or GCP data services
Version Control & Collaboration:
- Git, Jira, Confluence or similar tools
Methodologies:
- Agile / Scrum ways of working (varies by project)
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Graduates or early‑career professionals from disciplines such as Data, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology, STEM, or career‑switchers with relevant training
- A genuine interest in data engineering, data platforms, and how data is used across businesses
- Basic knowledge of SQL and/or Python, with a desire to develop further
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with good attention to detail
- Confidence learning new tools and asking questions when things aren’t clear
- A proactive mindset and eagerness to grow as a data professional
- Willingness to work onsite as required — open to placement in Leeds or London
