About the role

This is a key role within our Data & Analytics function, where insight plays a critical part in shaping decisions that matter. As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll lead medium‑complexity analytical work from problem definition through to decision‑ready insight, helping the business make confident, evidence‑based choices.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, translating business questions into clear analytical approaches, improving the quality and consistency of analytical products, and influencing how data is used. It’s an ideal role for someone who enjoys blending hands‑on analysis with mentoring, standards and storytelling.

What you will be responsible for:

You’ll deliver high‑quality analytical products while helping raise capability and consistency across the wider analytics community.

This will include:

  • Leading end‑to‑end analytical work, from framing the problem through to actionable insight and recommendations
  • Designing robust metrics, reusable models and automated dashboards to support recurring decision‑making
  • Translating ambiguous business questions into clear hypotheses, analytical plans and success measures
  • Working with data engineering and BI teams to improve data models, semantic layers and data availability
  • Reviewing and assuring analytical work, setting quality standards and coaching analysts in best practice
  • Planning and prioritising work, managing dependencies and communicating progress to stakeholders

Additional requirements specific to the role

  • Regular engagement with senior stakeholders and operational teams
  • Contribution to shared standards, tooling and ways of working across the analytics function
  • A strong focus on data quality, ethics and responsible use of insight

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential

  • Proven experience delivering business‑critical data analysis in a complex organisation
  • Strong capability in problem framing, method selection and storytelling for non‑technical audiences
  • Experience designing metrics, dashboards or analytical models that are reliable and repeatable
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and challenge assumptions using evidence
  • Experience coaching or supporting other analysts through review, feedback or pairing

Desirable

  • Experience working with modern data platforms, semantic layers or automated reporting pipelines
  • Exposure to data governance, data ethics or risk management considerations
