Want to do work that really matters?

At Checkatrade, we’re building the UK’s go-to home improvement marketplace. Every day, we help millions of homeowners find the right tradesperson for the job – fast, fair, and without the faff.

As our next BI Analyst (Tableau Specialist), you’ll play a key role in turning data into clear, actionable insight that helps teams across Checkatrade make better decisions. From building high-quality Tableau dashboards to answering real business questions with data, your work will help us move forward, one job at a time.

Forget long lists – here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:

  • Building, enhancing and maintaining Tableau dashboards used by marketing, sales, product, operations and finance

  • Turning business questions into clear, self-serve visual reporting that people genuinely use

  • Using SQL to extract, join and prepare data from our core data sources

  • Checking, validating and sense-checking numbers so stakeholders can trust the insight

  • Working closely with teams across the business to understand what they need and explain what the data is telling them

  • Helping keep our reporting layer clean, consistent and scalable by following BI standards and best practices

It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious and ready to crack on.

You’ll do well here if you bring:

  • Experience (or strong academic / placement exposure) in BI, analytics or reporting

  • Hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop (dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, actions)

  • Confidence working with data using SQL (selects, joins, aggregates, filters)

  • A solid understanding of core analytics concepts like KPIs, funnels, cohorts and performance tracking

  • A sharp eye for detail and a habit of double-checking numbers

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain data in plain English

  • A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset and a genuine desire to learn

We believe great work deserves great rewards. Here’s just a taste:

  • Competitive salary + annual bonus (role dependent)

  • Employee Share Program

  • Health, wellbeing and learning support

  • Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme and Cycle Scheme

  • Birthday / special day leave

  • Buy & sell holiday scheme

  • 1 week’s paid charity leave – and much more

How we’ll get to know each other:

  • Screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners

  • First stage SQL Test

  • Second stage interview with a Senior Stakeholder

  • Final Stage Interview with the Hiring Manager

If you require any reasonable adjustments during our interview process, please discuss them with your Talent Acquisition Partner.

If this sounds like the place where you can do your best work, we’d love to hear from you – even if you don’t tick every box.
