The Opportunity:

Are you an intelligent, enthusiastic, and confident Data Analyst looking to make a real impact? Join our small but dynamic team of healthcare and retail analysts at Vitalhub UK, where you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality analytics across the health, social care, and retail sectors.

In this role, you’ll be part of our central analytics hub, using advanced analytics and business intelligence techniques to support quality improvement and performance across providers and systems throughout the UK. You will also take a leading role in supporting one of our major retail clients, helping shape and maintain Tableau dashboards that support Vitalhub’s risk management solution.

Alongside this, you may work directly with the client’s own databases and reporting tools. This is a client‑facing position, working closely with our Customer Success team. You’ll engage directly with users, respond to reporting requests, and handle a variety of ad hoc queries - so strong communication skills and a proactive approach are essential.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis of healthcare or retail data and effectively present insights to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive and methodical approach in applying analytical skills. This may include the interpretation of data, statistical analysis, evaluation, and modelling or forecasting as needed.
  • Create and Enhance BI Reports and Dashboards: Improve and expand a portfolio of Tableau reports, dashboards, and analytics using your knowledge of the sector to identify and understand client requirements.
  • Provide insight, understanding and context of information to support client’s operations
  • Undertake data and quality audits and identify anomalies and mistakes in reporting and where possible correct and cleanse data accordingly.
  • Train other users in the use of existing reporting elements

Essential Experience:

  • Experience working with information within the healthcare or retail sector to understand the needs and expectations of our clients.
  • Proven experience in business intelligence and data analysis, using data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL for data manipulation, and the use of SQL Reporting Services, SQL Analysis Services and SQL Integration Services
  • Inquisitive, proactive, and methodical approach to healthcare analysis, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Skills in data conversion / data migration
  • Comfortable with a client facing role and the ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently as needed.

Nice to Haves:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a highly numerate area such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Sciences.
  • Experienced in statistical programming languages like Python and R.
