Description

We are looking for Junior Data Analysts to join our team at Wincanton based across BAE Air Sites.Β 

You will be part of our Defence business area, supporting operations through data analysis and IT support to drive performance and insight across the sector.

Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain Security Clearance which includes providing 5 consecutive years of UK residence and employment/education history.

Day to Day

  • Gathering and organising data from multiple systems
  • Preparing and validating data for analysis
  • Creating reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI
  • Applying data modelling techniques and analysis tools
  • Resolving data issues and ensuring data quality
  • Monitoring service levels and performing trend analysis
  • Attending customer meetings and audits
  • Providing first-line IT support and liaising with central IT services
  • Managing IT assets and user accounts
  • Supporting training and best practices in data and IT processes
  • Adhering to Health and Safety policies and promoting site improvements

What will you bring

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, and Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex findings clearly
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and work independently
  • Experience with data modelling and BI tools
  • Awareness of data science, machine learning, and AI concepts
  • Understanding of IT hardware, software, and security practices
  • Ability to manage data backups and recovery processes
