About The Role:
The Treasury Operations Data Analyst will be responsible for building, harmonising, and maintaining robust data pipelines and analytical infrastructure that underpin Treasury’s daily operations, forecasting, safeguarding, and Payment Network implementation. This role will sit at the heart of Treasury’s data ecosystem, ensuring timely, accurate, and reconciled information is available for decision-making, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Data Harmonisation & Reconciliation
- Integrate and harmonise highly diverse inputs (bank statements, scheme
settlement files, FX rates, client flows, wallets, etc.) into a coherent Treasury
dataset.
- Build automated reconciliation processes across sources to detect breaks,
errors, or delays.
- Ensure golden-source data for Treasury Operations, ALM, and Safeguarding.
Settlement & Reconciliation Automation
- Design and implement automated processes for scheme and bank settlement
reconciliations.
- Automate exception detection and escalation workflows, reducing manual
intervention and error risk.
- Build robust, scalable infrastructure to support straight-through settlement
processing in OPN.
Reporting & Alerts
- Develop timely reports for Treasury Operations, safeguarding, liquidity, and FX
risk.
- Build real-time alerts to monitor client flows, safeguarding breaks, liquidity
positions, and settlement anomalies.
- Support ALCO and management reporting with robust data and insights.
Data Infrastructure & Robustness
- Work with Treasury Tech/Data Engineering to establish resilient pipelines and
data validation layers.
- Design audit-proof data trails to support regulatory compliance (FCA
safeguarding, EMR 2011, PSD2, etc.).
- Implement monitoring dashboards (Grafana, Databricks, Google Sheets, or
similar) to surface key Treasury KPIs.
Forecasting & Analytics
- Develop models and frameworks to forecast client flows, liquidity needs, and
safeguarding positions.
- Contribute to FX and ALM analytics (e.g., exposure forecasting, cost vs. liquidity
optimisation).
OPN Implementation
- Provide analytical backbone for the rollout of OPN management, ensuring data-
driven optimisation of settlement routes.
- Design metrics, controls, and reports to measure OPN efficiency (cost, speed,
liquidity usage)
What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in Treasury, Payments, or Financial
Services.
- Strong skills in SQL and Python (Pandas, PySpark, forecasting libraries).
- Experience with data pipelines, reconciliation frameworks, and reporting dashboards.
- Conceptual understanding of payments, safeguarding, FX, and liquidity management.
- Comfort working with highly diverse and sometimes unstructured financial datasets.
- Strong communication skills: ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for Treasury and senior management.
- Degree in a STEM field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related)
