Do you have what it takes to become an Analytics Engineer?

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our growing data team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable data products that enable better decision-making across the business.
You will sit at the intersection of analytics, data engineering, and the business — working closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into well-designed data models, dashboards, and insights that are easy to understand and use.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong technical capability with clear communication and collaboration.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data models that support analytics and reporting use cases
  • Transform, clean, and prepare data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability
  • Partner closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that create real value
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation for data models, processes, and definitions
  • Contribute to the development of scalable, well-governed analytics solutions and data products
  • Support a culture of data-driven decision making through insights and stakeholder collaboration

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years’ experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar data-focused role
  • Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience building and optimising queries
  • Proven experience in data modelling (dimensional modelling, analytics-ready datasets)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience working with modern analytics or data platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for data quality and documentation

What’s in it for you?

Smart team members enjoy a range of benefits designed to support flexibility, wellbeing, reward, and growth:

  • Smart Leave, an additional week of leave each year
  • Free lunch every week
  • Up to 20 weeks Paid Parental Leave with superannuation contributions and a Return-to-Work Bonus
  • Make a Difference Days – paid days off to volunteer for the community and environment
  • Discounted retail vouchers
  • Salary packaging and novated leasing benefits (of course!)
  • Free flu vaccinations
  • Employee Share Plan
