About The Company

The Company is a UK-based litigation funding firm providing secured credit facilities to regulated law firms and claims management companies. We fund high-volume, low-value legal claims and manage a dynamic loan book across multiple SPVs. Our business is data-driven, with a strong focus on risk management, investor reporting, and operational excellence.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our growing team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyse loan book data, reconciliations, and borrower performance.
    • Produce accurate and timely management information (MI) for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Create and maintain performance dashboards and reports in Excel/Power BI (or similar).
    • Monitor portfolio performance trends and highlight risks, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Financial & Operational Data
    • Review and validate financial information from law firms and claims data.
    • Support monthly loan book reconciliations and cashflow monitoring.
    • Assist with performance tracking, provisioning, and variance analysis.
  • Technology & Systems
    • Work with our developers to maintain and enhance our loan management software.
    • Support system improvements by testing, documenting, and providing user feedback.
    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across internal systems and reports.
  • Collaboration
    • Work with Finance, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure accurate MI and reporting.
    • Provide ad-hoc analysis and insight to senior management and the Investment Committee.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2–4 years’ experience as a Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, macros desirable).
  • Drawdown management and processing
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of financial data, reconciliations, analysis.
  • Experience working with or alongside developers on software/database projects.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
