What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Operations Finance Business Partnering team, where you’ll play a key role in transforming how we manage and use data. This role is focused on streamlining data management practices, driving efficiency through automation, and enhancing the quality and impact of our reporting. You’ll also explore new data sources to unlock deeper insights and enable faster, more informed decision-making.

As a Data Analyst at Pret, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference. You’ll support a variety of strategic projects and play a central role in helping our Operations team drive sales, improve cost efficiency, and deliver operational excellence.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the Operations Business Partnering Lead on various projects by providing technical support on data extraction, manipulation and reporting.
  • Streamlining data management by automating and improving existing reports and developing innovative solutions to enhance reporting efficiency
  • Leveraging tools such as SQL, Python, R or Scala to explore new data sources and generate insightful analytics that support performance monitoring and informed decision-making within the Operations Team
  • Proactively interrogating and analysing data sets we capture as a business and looking at the best ways to build this out to provide richer information to support business decisions
  • Collaborating with the wider Data team to connect data sources, facilitate wider analysis and enable the business partnering team to support the business as efficiently as possible.
  • Supporting the creation and timely delivery of high-quality data reports to key stakeholders
  • Working closely with the Technology teams to ensure the data used is of a high standard and is readily available

 

Experience and Skills required

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, answering key business questions with analytical rigour
  • Extensive experience in bringing data to life either agency or client side
  • Proven record of completing complex pieces of analysis to help determine business decisions
  • Extensive experience using SQL, Python, R or Scala
  • A data driven, strategic thinker with a pro-active approach to delivering quality and value
  • Ability to meet deadlines and a capable communicator in conveying research results, whether written, verbal or via presentation to all levels of management
  • A proven track record of using data to effect change and produce tangible results that drive business value
  • A good knowledge of Pret a Manger and its current propositions
  • Ideally, have a good knowledge of the quick service restaurant market and the changes that are shaping it
  • Ability to establish, develop and foster effective relationships across the business
  • Experience with reporting solutions (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire) also a plus
  • Experience working in a global business, delivering insight across European and International markets beneficial
  • An aptitude for problem solving

  • Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2026
  • £40,000- £45,000 with 10% performance related bonus

The interview journey

Every interview process at Pret begins with the same two stages. First, you’ll have a relaxed 30-minute conversation with our recruitment team so we can get to know you and your experience. Next, you’ll be invited to a one-hour, in-person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria.

Depending on the role and function, there may be additional stages. These could include time spent in one of our shops, completing a task, or meeting a senior leader.
