Job Summary: 

Reporting directly to the Data Analyst, you will support the transformation of raw data into meaningful insights that help drive informed decision-making across the organisation. In this entry-level role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to assist in the collection, preparation, and analysis of data. With a focus on learning and development, you will contribute to reporting, visualisation, and ad hoc analysis, helping the business uncover trends and opportunities.  
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support Data Collection - assist in gathering and extracting data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
  • Data Preparation and Cleansing - help clean, organise, and transform raw data to prepare it for analysis. 
  • Basic Data Analysis - perform initial analysis and summarise findings using simple statistical techniques. Supporting the Data Analyst in identifying patterns and trends. 
  • Reporting Support - assist in the preparation of regular reports and dashboards that track key metrics and business performance. 
  • Data Visualisation - create basic charts, tables, and graphs to represent data clearly, using tools within Power BI. 
  • Ad Hoc Support - respond to ad hoc data requests from the business. 
  • Collaboration - work closely with the Data Analyst and cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and ensure timely delivery of data outputs. 
  • Data Quality Awareness - help identify and flag issues in data consistency or completeness. 
  • Documentation – assist in maintaining
    accurate and well-documented data flow diagrams.
     
  • Learning and Development - stay up to date with basic data tools, trends, and technologies.  
  • Knowledge Sharing - share insights and findings with the Data Analyst and team to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. 

 


Required Skills or Training: 

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases and an interest in learning more advanced querying skills. 
  • Exposure to or willingness to learn Power BI or other data visualisation tools. 
  • An understanding of basic statistical concepts and data patterns. 
  • Awareness of Python for data handling and automation and an interest in improving skills.  
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to working with data. 
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to ask questions and seek support where needed. 
  • Effective communication skills to present findings clearly and work collaboratively. 
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage time and tasks efficiently. 
  • Willingness to learn about data governance, privacy, and ethical data handling. 
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and a desire to grow within the data field.Â
